‘Antecede’ delves into the unseen artistry that occurs in the moments before paint meets canvas. It unveils the tension, rituals, and silent beauty inherent in the preparatory stages of creation. The wardrobe echoes the bold yet elemental tones of blue, red, white, and black, with concrete components adding a harsh strictness to the otherwise delicate properties of paint. Each hue embodies a moment in the process before the painting. Blue symbolizing the calm focus of the artist, red represents the intensity of anticipation, white stands for purity and new beginnings, whilst black holds the mystery of what is to come. Redefining art as not just the final product but the intimate, often overlooked, steps that lay the groundwork for what is to come. Showing that true creativity lies even within the meticulous. ‘Antecede’ shifts the focus from the outcome to the beauty of the journey itself, where the process transforms into the art.

In “Delicate Intention,” the interplay between human form and splattered pigment blurs the lines between art and artist, order and disorder. The shoot explores the raw, unfiltered expression of emotion as the body becomes both creator and canvas, submerged in a whirlwind of colour and movement. Against a stark background, each gesture, leap, and twist leaves an indelible mark. The visual narrative captures the tension between control and chaos, celebrating the beauty found in the unpredictable and the power of creativity unleashed. Through this lens the concept becomes a powerful commentary on the art of embracing imperfection and the mess that often accompanies true artistic expression.

The editorial “Arid Serenity” is inspired by natural elements clashing with the geometric. With Joshua Tree representing the harsh, dry, bright, and raw nature elements it brings in the flowing lines, irregular shapes and the overarching themes of art, sculpture, and history. Luis Barragan is the geometric imposter bringing in his large post-modernist, geometric architecture, evoking emotion and adding the opposing element to Joshua tree. While both clash in fundamentals, they both share the common aspect of colour, the deserts brown & orange sand, green represented in the cactus and sky, the traditional bold colour painted on Barragan’s designs, evoking emotion, they exist in harmony. These 2 elements push and pull, working their way into a succinct and high-end concept. The final result being a beauty editorial with a focal point on the eyes, both themes shining through to create an intriguing end product, and fashion shoot, further pushing these influences and flaunting the silk scarf created to intertwine these elements into a single product.
